its so sad how women today are suffering through unsafe methods all in order to become what other people think is beautiful. i believe we need to be secure in ourselves and i believe it needs to be done now. something needs to hit home for these ladies out there that are doing such things as bleaching their skin, straightening their hair, wearing contacts and developing eating disorders just to reach a standard of beauty that they may never achieve! frankly something needs to be realized here, and its that you are who you are and you need to love it. please ladies, let’s stop torturing ourselves. its time for a change to be made.

oh and just to make a point (especially to this winston guy that keeps posting outrageous comments on my video) this was a comment reply that i was trying to post to his claim that there are no beautiful dark skinned celebrities well to that i say:

This is a video-poem that i decided to do for y’all. It was during a time that I was feeling a little.. inferior to other women, but then realized that i needed to love who i am, and not be so concerned with the world’s standard of beauty. So here is the poem I wrote called, That Girl. You can follow along just in case you can’t hear what I’m saying in the video. Enjoy ; )

I, am not the “hott girl”
No, I would never claim that
I am however, a sexy, natural beauty
Only few can capture my essence
I, am like golden sunlight
I shine like the moon
I, in fact, am quite native
Partly exotic, viewed from a distance with no close contact
No one can beat who I am
No one will overbear my personality
There aren’t many like me in the world
So here’s to me you all

They stare and they gawk as they watch me walk by

New Skin lightening products review

So after finishing my Meladerm I’m now left without a facial moisturizer and no replacement. So on the hunt I got for the next great product and where else to start then my local winners for the greatest and cheapest products!

What I found was two products that may be a nice competition for Meladerm and at a fraction of the price!

The first is Fade Out. Made in the UK, it claims to help lighten pigmentation marks with general usage and is clinically tested. “Fade Out Extra Care DAY fade cream is a new and unique lightening cream that gently fades away unwanted age spots, freckles, uneven kin tone and other dark pigmentation marks. This new enriched Zyalight formula (never heard of it) enables noticeable results to be achieved within 4 weeks depending on skin type. Formulated with Skin Brightening natural actives, Provitamin B5 and Vitamin E to help restore youthful radiance, moisturize and help prevent fine lines.” Also has SPF 15 protection.
I bought this product because it checked off all the boxes in terms of what i wanted in a facial moisturizer. The downside: It has an over powering chemical smell that you know cant be good for you lol. It also has a slight warming sensation on the face when applied which may or may not cause slight irritation for people who have sensitive skin. Over all, I’ll give it a chance, and if it doesn’t work, it only $10 out of my pocket.

The second is Barielle’s Advanced Formula Porcelain Skin Brightening Cream. For age spots, freckles and uneven skin tone. Hydoquinone Free (whatever that is) This product is made in the USA and claims to be “a safe and effective cream for age spots, freckles, unevenness of skin colour and other discolouration of the skin. The advanced formula is enriched with oils, a multifruit complex of Alpha Hydroxy Acids and is Hydroquinone free. It helps to leave your skin nourished, protected and completely balanced”. If its true, thats left to be seen. So far the formula has a nice texture and isn’t overly oily. Doesn’t have much of a sent which is good too and is light enough to wear make up over top. At another $10 a piece, ill give it a go and let you guys know whats the final verdict.
