Case 1:
My skin is very oily, especially my nose. What Can I do about this? I use clean and clear 10% benzoyl peroxide cleanser, and Aveeno daily Skin Brightening scrub, then moisturize with the salycic acid acne moisturizer by clean and clear… anyway what can I do about MY SUPER OILY SKIN?

Case 2:
I have little whiteheads on my nose, around my nose, and on my chin. What can I do about them?

Case 3:
I have pimples all over my forehead that keep coming back, and it seems like no matter what product I use they don’t go away.

Case 4: I have a dark spot on my cheek, I think it is an acne scar, how do I get rid of it?

Case 5:
I also want to even out, brighten, and lighten my skin tone.

I use Aveeno daily scrub, clean and clear 10% benzoyl peroxide cleanser, and clean and clear salycic acid moisturizer. I have used acnefree, Neutrogena Deep Clean and Cream Cleanerin the past. I do not wish to use ProActive or any thing recommended by the doctor, so help?

1. You might be using too many products. If you are drying your skin out, it will overcompensate by producing even more oil. Try using Cetaphil facial wash. It will not aggravate your acne. It is an extremely gentle cleanser.

2. Some people are just more prone to whiteheads than others. Try to spot-treat them. Use the salicylic acid only on the whiteheads. Use an oil-free, noncomedogenic moisturizer everywhere else. If you can get a facial once a month or so, that also might help with the whitehead problem.

3. Do you have bangs or hair that touches your forehead? Do you touch your forehead a lot? That can cause pimples. Make sure not to touch your hands to your face unless you wash them first. Wear headbands or something to keep your hair off your face, even when you sleep. In fact, you might want to change your pillowcase every night so you aren’t rubbing your face in a dirty pillowcase. Even just putting a fresh t-shirt on your pillow every night may help.

4. The acne scar will probably fade. Once a week, you might want to use an exfoliating scrub to promote the development of new skin cells, but that might irritate your skin too much. A dab of Vitamin E oil on that spot every night may help too.

5. Neutrogena makes a set of cleansers, moisturizers, etc, called Visibly Even. It works really well to even out skin tones. You should check it out. I’ve used it and I was very happy with the results.
